This Data Analyst position will support the Sales team at CI Financial by delivering insights that help optimize sales performance and advisor engagement in a B2B environment. Job Title: Data Analyst, Sales & Distribution
Position Summary
This Data Analyst position will support the Sales team at CI Financial by delivering insights that help optimize sales performance and advisor engagement in a B2B environment. Reporting to the Director, Business Analytics & Insights, this individual will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and reporting data to support strategic decisions that drive advisor effectiveness and strengthen relationships with end clients. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, data-driven individual who is passionate about using analytics to make a tangible impact on sales success.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Collection and Analysis: Gather, organize, and analyze sales data related to advisor performance, client acquisition, and product adoption to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Performance Reporting: Develop and maintain regular sales reports and dashboards for sales leadership, focusing on advisor activity, pipeline health, and performance against key metrics.
- Insights for Advisor Engagement: Provide data-driven insights on advisor engagement levels, helping to identify high-potential advisors and optimize sales support strategies.
- Data Quality and Integrity: Work with the data engineering team to ensure data accuracy and integrity, performing regular data checks and troubleshooting discrepancies.
- Ad Hoc Analysis: Perform ad hoc analyses as requested by the sales team or leadership to address specific questions, test hypotheses, and support strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Mathematics, Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related area.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or sales analytics, preferably within a financial services or B2B environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
- Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical skills, with a proven ability to interpret data and create actionable insights.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to data accuracy and ability to work with large data sets to ensure data quality.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings in a clear and impactful way for business stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive problem-solver with the ability to think critically and provide data-driven solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in asset management or a related financial services field, with an understanding of advisor-based sales models.
