We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Quality Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for investigating Excel data quality reports, writing basic SQL queries, and utilizing the PPLUS environment to ensure data integrity and accuracy. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for detail. This position involves working closely with various stakeholders to identify data quality issues, conduct root cause analyses, and implement effective solutions to enhance overall data quality. Also, the analyst will help develop and maintain data quality metrics and dashboards, contributing to continuous improvement of our data management processes. Through meticulous analysis and proactive problem-solving, the Data Quality Analyst will support the organization’s data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency.

The Work !

  • Investigate and analyze Excel data quality reports to identify discrepancies and areas for improvement.
  • Write basic SQL queries to extract, validate, and manipulate data if needed.
  • Utilize the PPLUS environment to perform data quality checks and ensure adherence to data standards.
  • Document findings and provide detailed reports on data quality investigations.
  • Assist in the resolution of data quality issues within the Business Unit, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to address and mitigate such issues.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of data quality metrics and dashboards.

Let’s Talk About You !

  • Post-Secondary education in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management) or 3-5 years work experience in either Business domain or Data domain
  • Proficiency in Excel: Ability to navigate, analyze, and manipulate large datasets in Excel.
  • SQL Skills: Basic proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries to extract and validate data.
  • Solid understanding of Single Family Residential and retail mortgage products.
  • PPLUS Environment: Experience using the PPLUS environment or a similar loan origination system.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document findings and interact with stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
