Who are we looking for?   

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Data Science Application Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data-driven applications, while working closely with our data scientists, software development team, and business stakeholders. Your focus will be on creating and managing high-quality web systems that align with user needs and business goals for internal and external clients.

Working with an energetic and hard working team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: 

• Develop, and deploy machine learning applications for internal/external demonstrations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, new features. Managing development lifecycle and ensure the efficient and prompt release of new features to meet or exceed project timelines
• Collaborate with the design team to define and implement user interface and experience based on identified business requirements
• Convert machine learning models into APIs so that other applications can access them.
• Optimize existing solutions or web system for performance and scalability.
• Implement automated testing and validation procedures to ensure the accuracy and quality of web system.
• Stay current on emerging technologies in data science and Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest web technologies and industry trends.

What you will bring to the team:

• 5 years experience of data-driven or data visualization web system and RESTful API development
• Experience in cloud computing environment or platforms such as Azure
• Strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work on complex problems in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong programming skills in Python and Python based web application development frameworks such as Flask, Django, data visualization and data science/machine learning libraries is a plus
• Experience in geo-spatial data processing and visualization is a plus
• General knowledge of full-stack development (backend, frontend and database) technologies, such as JavaScript, React.js, Angular, Vue.js, Node.js is a plus
• Experience in databases development, especially MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or other related STEM fields, with strong understanding of data science and machine learning. A Master’s degree is a plus
