Our Tutors are the role models for the students studying on our Data Science program. They mentor students, help them with difficult concepts and assignments, teach them the skills necessary to be a great DS professional. They guide students through the program and into their future careers, making sure all students get the most out of both regardless of their background.

What you will do

As a tutor you will be a big part of students’ educational process and will:

• Mentor students during 1-1 video calls; you’ll be dealing with different questions from students including a deeper explanation of certain concepts, tools or skills, supporting and navigating students in their assignments;
• Communicate with students via video during group Q&A sessions for “drop-in” questions;
• Host webinars and other educational events for groups of students (about the content covered in our program, extracurricular skills, career and industry knowledge), or attend other non-educational meetings with students;
• Share your professional expertise and best industry practices with the students.

Requirements

• You have 3+ years of experience in Data Science (experience with Python, basics of Machine Learning, advanced SQL knowledge);
• You can explain topics in EDA, SDA, Machine Learning in a way that is understandable for beginners;
• You have 2+ years of experience working in the US tech industry;
• You are ready to dedicate 10-15 hours a week (or slightly more if you wish) to this project, sometimes on weekends;
• You are passionate about your profession, the DS field and it’s development.

We appreciate it if you have:

• Teaching or tutoring experience;
• Experience in deeper DS concepts (such as Computer Vision and Sentiment Analysis);
• Have your own experience as a student online, and the desire to help create the best place in the world to study Data Science.

• Pay rate of $45-50 per hour;
• Remote, part-time work (10-15 hours per week, up to 20 hours per week can be discussed);
