Job Description

DNAnexus is seeking a Demand Generation Director, Pharma to lead the strategy and drive the execution of our demand generation initiatives for our pharma business unit. This is a remote role. East Coast time zone preferred but not required.

The ideal candidate has well-rounded experience in all primary aspects of strategic and enterprise B2B demand generation strategy, tactics, and coordination. Experience in the life sciences industry, preferably marketing to pharma, is a must. 

As the Demand Generation Director, you have a track record of successfully managing budget, developing , leading and executing effective marketing campaigns, and have a deep understanding of the life sciences industry, personas, and customers. 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute effective demand generation strategies and tactics that drive lead generation, customer acquisition, and growth and revenue.
  • Lead the development, execution, and stakeholder buy-in of a comprehensive ABM strategy targeted to pharma decision makers; with the goal of driving both top of funnel awareness as well as engagement and conversion through the funnel to close.
  • In partnership with the marketing team, implement and oversee integrated marketing programs and campaigns across content and channels including email, webinars, events, digital, direct mail, and others with a strong emphasis on qualified lead generation and lead maturation
  • Partner closely with different teams to ensure alignment and understanding of the ABM strategy, campaigns, and motions to ensure success.
  • Partner closely with the Inside Sales team to increase the MQL conversion rates and increase our top of funnel pipeline.
  • Assist the team and company in achieving its ARR, new logos, and growth goals. 
  • Effectively manage the demand generation’s budget, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently to maximize growth efficiency and ROI on a global scale. You will drive the financial modeling of campaigns with the team, ensuring optimal use of the marketing budget.
  • Analyze data and track marketing performance, making data-driven decisions to optimize marketing efforts.
  • Identify the relevant marketing data sources and options for data access, extraction, integration and orchestration to use data strategically in campaigns 

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in marketing, with a minimum of 6 years in a demand generation or closely related leadership role.
  • Direct experience marketing to pharmaceutical, biotech, and related organizations
  • Proven expertise in effective and efficient demand generation campaigns, multi-channel management, and reporting.
  • Fluency in digital marketing, paid media and a strong track record in managing campaigns.
  • An innovative mindset, eager to drive change and make an impact.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a proven ability to lead a team and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Expertise in one or many of our marketing technologies: Hubspot, Qualified, ZoomInfo, Salesforce and experience on mixing the marketing tech stack for optimal use and results.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The total annual cash compensation for this position is between $150K and $165K with both a base salary and annual bonus component. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
