Dental Assistant to provide advanced chairside procedures in four handed dental treatment in a dental program that serves children with and without developmental disabilities in the Nisonger Dental Program on Johnstown Road; performs chairside procedures; provides assistance to the dentist; provides indirect patient treatment; maintains inventory of supplies and materials; maintains equipment; performs general clerical and outreach tasks.

Additional Education Desired

HS Graduate or Equivalent or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Qualifications

3 months experience (3 courses) in dental office practices and procedures; 3 months experience (3 courses) in dental operatory practices and procedures; 3 months experience (3 courses) in four-handed assisting techniques; 3 months experience (3 courses) in inventory record-keeping; 3 months experience (300 hrs. training) in care of dental equipment; 1 month experience (100 hrs. training) in typing and/or operating word processing; or equivalent. Positions performing radiography must be registered with the Ohio Dental Board as a Dental Assistant Radiographer. Requires successful completion of a background check
