Overview

We are looking for a full time Dental Assistant who will make our office located in Lutz, FL more efficient and pleasant for patients. The Dental Assistant we select must have prior hands on dental assisting experience; You’ll ensure excellent patient experience and lift administrative and basic dental tasks off the Dentist’s shoulders. Dental assistants should be well-organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible. The hours are :Monday 8am – 5pm, Tuesday 8am -5pm, Wednesday 12pm – 7pm, Thursday 8am – 5pm, Friday 8am – 2pm Salary range is $18.00-24.00.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations..
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
• Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program

or

• Six months on-the-job-experience (with supporting documentation)
• X-Ray certification
• Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended
• High school diploma or equivalent

Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
