If you’re a CA licensed Registered Dental Assistant or not yet licensed, but a graduate from an accredited Dental Assistant program, this could be the position for you!Working side by side with our skilled Dentists and caring Hygienists, you’ll be part of a team that exudes positivity and professionalism. We believe in enjoying our work while delivering exceptional dental care to our valued patients.

Primary Duties Include:

  • Provides all Dental Assistant duties legally allowed by the Dental Board of California. Ensures applicable procedures are performed according to instructions by a licensed dentist.
  • Provides chairside and other clinically related support for dental providers, within your scope.
  • Demonstrates ability to take impressions for models and denture appliances. Places and removes rubber dams or other isolation devises,
  • Ensures the safety and comfort of patients at MCHC during rooming, exam, and treatment by asking questions, assessing body language, and communicating impressions to the dentist.
  • Acts as liaison between patient and provider by discussion treatment plans and needs.
  • Provides patient education in the areas of proper teeth and gum care.
  • Prepares rooms, ensuring a safe environment for patient visits by infection prevention standards including cleaning and disinfecting and placing plastic barriers over high touch surfaces.
  • Utilizes infection prevention techniques including handwashing and personal protective equipment (PPE), and complies with all precautionary standards, during each patient visit.
  • Demonstrates acquired knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, codes, and provider preferences.
  • Completes all required trainings and attends department meetings.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • CPR Certificate
  • X-ray License

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a dental office, utilizing an electronic health record (EHR)
  • Bilingual, English/Spanish, Fluent
