Provide oral health instruction, dental screenings, fluoride, sealants, SDF application, prophylaxis, and follow-up care coordination for grant funded programs at Trinity Muscatine Public Health.

Responsibilities

• Provides dental screenings, fluoride varnish applications, and/or sealants as gap-filling services.
• Provides SDF application in urgent care gap-filling situations.
• Provides dental prophylaxis in gap-filling situations.
• Provides follow-up care coordination for oral health, as needed.
• Performs other related clinical duties as assigned.
• Adheres to dental hygiene practice standards as described by the Iowa Board of Dental Examiners.

Qualifications

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited Dental Hygiene School and current professional Dental Hygiene Iowa license.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist.

License(s)/Certiciation(s):

• Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
