Located in the heart of Mackay, a bustling mining town in Queensland, 1300SMILES Mackay is situated in a prominent, well-established building on one of the main streets. With a long history in the community, the clinic is known for its high standards and large, loyal patient base.

The clinic offers a range of general dental services, including root canal treatments, fillings, crowns, dentures, splints, bridges, implants, extractions, cleans, whitening, and periodontal treatment, but does not provide Invisalign. It has a large patient base with a high treatment acceptance rate and a waitlist for new patients. Parking is available with limited street parking for patients and staff parking requiring walking or paid options a block away. The team includes seven dental assistants with varied experience, five experienced receptionists, two dental hygienists/oral health therapists, and two clinicians with over 10 years of experience.

Job Description

• Provide high-quality dental care to patients.
• Diagnose and treat oral diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth and gums.
• Perform routine cleanings, extractions, fillings, and other dental procedures.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventative care.
• Collaborate with a team of dental professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills with both patients and your support team.
• Passion to learn and develop new skills expanding scope of works to Orthodontics.
• Hold unrestricted AHPRA registration and professional indemnity insurance (or able to obtain).
• Ability to work within Australia.
