ADF Health Services provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel across Australia. As part of this contract, Serco, in partnership with Bupa, provide defence-ready clinical and support staff across 50+ on-base locations nationally, ensuring that ADF personnel have access to quality on-site medical care. About the Role

You will be responsible for the provision of dental services to patients, including but not limited to emergency treatments, general examinations and preventative treatments, restorations, minor oral surgical procedures, x-rays, extractions, root canal treatments and design/management of prosthodontics. In this role you will liaise with the senior dental officer (depending on clinic size), medical officers, nursing officers, and specialist dental providers where needed to provide comprehensive dental care. You will play a vital role in promoting and maintaining the good oral health of personnel in accordance with Defence Policies and Procedures, ensuring patients are dentally fit for deployment. 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
• Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Dentist, General with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Minimum 2 years full-time post graduate clinical chair-side experience within the last 5 years (or part-time equivalent).
• Recent participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.
• Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.

About Richmond Health Centre

Richmond Health Centre is located at RAAF Base Richmond, the oldest Air Force base in NSW, 50 km north-west of Sydney and home to the C-130J Hercules medium transport aircraft. The facility provides primary medical, aviation medical, outpatient, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health and pharmaceutical services to Defence members. The base also operates a 24-hour inpatient ward, which closes over the weekend. Standard operating hours are generally 0730-1630 Mon-Thurs, and 0730-1400 Friday (depending on role requirements).
