Thank you for your interest in Future Dentist and Specialty Dentist Opportunities at HealthPartners! This position will be responsible for providing quality dental care to HealthPartners dental members including coordinating the dental care provided by internal and external specialists. Serve as a resource in educating HealthPartners dental members in improving their oral health and reducing the risk of future dental disease. Serve in a leadership role as a team member in the delivery of dental care.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Practice in a style that is consistent with HealthPartners mission, goals and values.
- Establish and maintain positive service relationships with both patients and staff.
- Provide a broad range of clinical skills.
- Participates in interviewing new staff at the clinic management’s request.
- Participates in quality assurance and peer review activities.
- Takes responsibility for and oversees the delivery of dental care to his or her patients.
- Provides appropriate training and work direction to auxiliary and clerical personnel. Provides feedback to clinic management regarding job performance of auxiliary and clerical personnel, as requested.
- Adheres to regulations, policies and practices designed to safeguard the health and safety of patients and staff.
- Practices within the guidelines and rules set forth in state Dental Practice Act.
- Assumes responsibility for emergency care during and after normal clinic hours.
- HealthPartners dentists are expected to participate in the governance of HealthPartners through attendance at dental staff meetings, regular attendance at clinic-based meetings, and participation at least one dental committee.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Currently licensed to practice dentistry by the State of Minnesota.
- Maintains a current DEA certificate.
- Maintains current certification in CPR.
- Has the ability to communicate effectively.
- Plans and uses time effectively in maintaining a busy clinical practice.
- Maintains a current knowledge base in dentistry.
