Position Overview

We are seeking a new graduate dentist to join our established 4-chair practice, starting January 2025. This role is ideal for a clinician eager to expand their skills in general and high-end dentistry while receiving mentorship from experienced professionals.

• Mon: 08:30 – 17:00
• Tues: 08:30 – 17:00
• Wed: 08:30 – 17:00
• Thurs: 08:30 – 19:00
• Fri: 08:30 – 17:00
• Sat: 08:30 – 13:00
• Rooms: 4
• Practice Management Software: Dental 4 Windows
• Location: Upper Ross Medical Centre, Townsville, near Ross River and the Upper Ross Dam.
• Dental Services Offered: General Dentistry, Restorative Dentistry, Cosmetic Dentistry, Invisalign, Implants.
• Client Demographics: Includes children, families, seniors, with a high rate of emergencies
• Parking: Free on-site parking directly outside the clinic.

Practice Team & Clinicians

• Dental Assistants: Young, fast-paced team.
• Other Support Staff: Long-standing receptionist with extensive company background.
• Dental Hygienists / Oral Health Therapists: None
• Clinicians: 2 General Dentists with over 20 years of combined experience.

Practice Setup

• Clinical Imaging: Standard x-ray imaging.
• CAD / CAM: None.
• Sterilisation: 1 ultrasonic cleaner, 1 autoclave.
• Microscopes: None.
• Plant: 1 compressor, 1 suction unit.
• Surgical Devices: 1 contra-angle surgical handpiece.
• Endo Handpieces: Providers supply their own.
• Anesthesia / Sedation: No current sedation, but open to Nitrous Oxide.

Job Description

• Provide high-quality dental care to patients.
• Diagnose and treat oral diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth and gums.
• Perform routine cleanings, extractions, fillings, and other dental procedures.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventative care.
• Collaborate with a team of dental professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills with both patients and your support team.
• Passion to learn and develop new skills expanding scope of works to Orthodontics.
• Hold unrestricted AHPRA registration and professional indemnity insurance (or able to obtain).
• Ability to work within Australia.
