Deputy Carpenter

TEG Live Europe and Life Like Touring are looking to fill the position of Deputy Carpenter for the upcoming UK Tour of Gabby’s Dollhouse Live! from March-May 2026. Based on DreamWorks Animation’s hit Netflix series, the live show will rehearse in London March 9-21, before touring.

Candidates should be London based, have local work rights, and be available for all rehearsal and national tour dates from 9 March 2026 up to/around 3 May 2026.

Employee shall perform all services customarily rendered by the Deputy Carpenter of a musical theatre show (of the same quality and calibre as a West End musical). Without limitation the following employee duties shall include:

• Attendance at rehearsals as required assisting with movement of set and props.
• Reporting to the Head Carpenter, this role will:
  • Work with the local carpenters and stagehands.
  • Liaise with venue technical team as required ensuring all requirements are met
  • Help manage the load in and load out process at each tour venue, working with local crew to maximise efficiency
  • As directed, take care of the day-to-day production values of the show and be actively involved in the backstage plot of each performance, including the movement of soft goods, scenery, audio, lighting, LED wall, set electrics and props, as required
• Assist with contingency plans for the set and running of the show, as required and implement at need
• Assist with documentation for the Production, including technical plots and running sheets
• Assist with maintaining the touring set, soft goods, props and electrical equipment – identifying any maintenance or repair issues and helping to rectify these things
