Deputy Chief Electrician (Deputy LX)

Essential
– Proven experience as a Deputy LX, Senior Technician, or equivalent in opera, theatre, or live events
– Strong practical knowledge of:
Theatrical lighting systems and rigging
Moving lights, LED fixtures, and conventional lanterns
Control systems and desks
Power distribution and fault-finding
– Experience working in repertory or multi-show environments
– Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
– Strong organisational and communication skills
– A collaborative, solutions-focused approach

Desirable
– Experience working on opera or large-scale classical performance
– Experience with outdoor or temporary venue infrastructure
– Familiarity with common UK control platforms (e.g. ETC, MA)
– IPAF / PASMA or equivalent certifications
