The World Health Organization serves as the directing and coordinating authority for public health within the United Nations system. WHO seeks to promote health, ensure everyone can attain the highest level of health, keep the world safe and serve the vulnerable through partnerships, people and countries.

Context

WHO Egypt runs campaigns to raise awareness on priority public health issues such as vaccination, non-communicable diseases, and healthy lifestyles. To maximize reach and impact, WHO engages Online Volunteers to produce engaging digital content that connects with different audiences. Volunteers will contribute their creativity while gaining hands-on experience in international health communication.

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking 4 Online Volunteers to support WHO Egypt’s communications team with content creation. Volunteers will collaborate to:

1- Identify and screen for data sources
2- Conduct data collection using Public Health Intelligence (PHI) defined methodology and tools from selected sources
3- Upload to the team”s Online Signal Module (OSM)
4- Participate in the triage, morning briefs and Emergency Operation Center (EOC) meetings1-

Final Deliverables (Outcomes):

8–10 finalized graphics/infographics adapted to WHO brand guidelines.

1–2 short animations or multimedia assets.

1 campaign toolkit (containing visuals, draft messages, and usage guidelines).

Required Skills and Experience

Familiarity with media/social media platforms and online search.

Experience in communications, journalism, or health information is desirable.

Ability to summarise findings clearly in English (Arabic desirable).
