Developing 4 short videos in Greet Street (Newham, East London) about stressors and emotional support

We have a total budget of £10K to produce four short films (~3mins) as part of a community project about mental health, led by Newham Community Project.

The films will illustrate stressful situations and people experiencing common mental health symptoms, and will then show the person in distress receiving support from a trained local volunteer.

The films will be set in Green Street neighbourhood, in Newham (East London), and will feature 2-3 actors each, who need to be representative of the local community (i.e. diverse casting, including some South Asian and Muslim characters).

We have draft scripts for two films at present that we can share to give a sense of what we’re aiming for (and can produce drafts for the other two) but we would welcome creative input in refining these as the project team does not have a background in the arts.

We would like to have at least two of the films ready by mid-April for the first phase of the project (the others could come later if needed, or we could produce them all together).

Ideally we are looking for a production company that can take care of casting, directing, filming, and video editing, as well as having a creative role in finalising the scripts.
