Job Description

We’re looking for a self-sufficient and experienced South West based producer (2 years minimum experience) to join the team. You must be passionate about new writing, and creating a forward trajectory for new writing. You will have an understanding of early stages of work, and the flexibility and adaptability that is needed to support a project at this point in its journey.

Project Outline

This is an urgent and exciting moment to develop ‘Mine’, a play rooted in Cornwall’s shifting identity, where the past and future of mining collide. As lithium extraction returns to former tin and clay sites, many still within living memory, questions around industry, place, and personal identity rise to the surface. This dual narrative, Cornwall’s industrial legacy and its future role in the energy transition, is the heartbeat of Mine but it’s also a personal story. At its centre is a rekindled past love between two women now living very different lives. At its heart, ‘Mine’ asks how identity is shaped by land, labour, and love. It creates space for underrepresented voices, of women, queer people, and a Cornwall beyond the postcard.

Job Requirements

Outline of time (7 days):

2 days – Prep work and admin (handover of tasks from project lead, Hattie)

0.5 day – Rehearsal and publicity shoot support (in Exeter)
