The Director of Human Resources will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the HR function within our rugged, fast-paced aftermarket truck & trailer accessories company. This individual will be a key partner to our operating group, providing top-notch HR services and solutions that align with our passion for high-performance parts and accessories. The ideal candidate will enhance our workforce through innovative team member relations and HR strategies that support our unique company culture. Multiple plants responsibilities, with travel requirements to each business unit will be required.Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions:

  • Review and recommend improvements to company policies, procedures, and practices related to personnel to meet the needs of our dynamic industry.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, specifically within the automotive and truck accessories sector, and ensure compliance with relevant employment laws.
  • Ensure the company’s HR practices are in full compliance with all federal and state legislation, focusing on employee relations within a hands-on, blue-collar workforce.
  • Communicate changes to HR policies and procedures effectively across the company, ensuring compliance and alignment with our company’s vision and values.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to review, prepare, and manage competitive wage and salary programs that attract and retain top talent passionate about the truck accessories world.
  • Conduct stay and exit interviews to gather insights on employee retention and turnover, using KPIs to measure success and areas of improvement.
  • Consult with legal counsel as necessary to navigate complex personnel matters and ensure legal compliance.
  • Partner with department leaders to support them in managing their teams, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
  • Lead initiatives to evaluate, recommend, and facilitate ongoing staff development programs that keep our teams motivated and equipped with the skills they need.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of an efficient HR system that meets the company’s personnel information needs, customized to the unique demands of the aftermarket parts business.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor the HR team to deliver exceptional service and support to our organization.
  • Participate in committees, special projects, and seek additional responsibilities that align with driving our company forward.

Expected salary

$115000 – 140000 per year
