We have an immediate opening for a full-time (M-F) Doctor Assistant Float based in our West Des Moines clinic.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting the physician during clinic
• Performing patient workups
• Obtaining prior authorizations for insurance.
• Scribing and Coding during the exam.
• Organizing and preparing clinic documents
• Documenting into the electronic medical record.
• Assisting in surgical scheduling
• Assisting with Triage phone calls 
• Answering patient calls and messages.
• Providing patient education.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Daytime travel in the state of Iowa is required. When traveling outside your base clinic, travel time will be compensated, and mileage will be reimbursed.

Qualifications include:

• Previous experience in a medical office preferred, but not required.
• Previous experience with electronic medical records or medical office software preferred.
• Ability to effectively enter information into a variety of computer programs.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to provide excellent patient service.
