Thank you for your interest in joining Stryder! We are an award-winning 3PL provider that specializes in dedicated transportation and warehousing services for some of the largest food & beverage companies in the world since 1989.
We are currently accepting applications for experienced, full-time Class 1 Driver Trainers to join our growing team.
The job duties and responsibilities of this position will include (but not be limited to):
- Ensure that our drivers have been provided the necessary information and education to perform their duties effectively and safely
- Conduct road tests with potential hires prior to onboarding
- Conduct ride-alongs with drivers to monitor safe practices and compliance
- ELD training and follow-ups
- Perform Safety Spot Checks on drivers at our facilities and provide coaching as necessary
- Be available as necessary to address Owner Operator and Company Driver questions, concerns, and educational/training needs
- Work closely with Operations and Fleet teams to address concerns in a timely manner
- Re-train drivers on safety, compliance, company policy and procedures as required
- Assist the Driver Recruitment Manager with other duties as required
- Provide ongoing mentorship to drivers while maintaining a positive, professional and approachable attitude
Requirements
- Previous office experience is preferred
- Valid Class 1 License
- Clean abstract with a minimum of 5 years proven experience
- Must be able to cross the border
- Driver Training Certification or related experience is preferred
- Working experience with ELD systems (Samsara etc.)
- Strong problem solving ability
- Professional, friendly and co-operative attitude
- Excellent interpersonal skills in English, written and spoken
- Comfortable with adopting and learning new technologies
- Must be able to work with a team as well as independently with minimal supervision
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
