We are seeking a friendly and welcoming Duty Manager to help us provide a first class customer experience to our audiences.

This is a full-time permanent role, working 40 hours per week. Working hours will vary and will be mainly evenings and weekends, although some day times are required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To lead the smooth running of the Front of House operation when there are performances
  • To oversee the welfare of audiences and customers
  • To lead on acknowledging and resolving questions and issues such as seating queries

We will reimburse reasonable travel expenses for candidates to attend an interview.

Job Requirements

We’re interested in hearing from candidates with some (but not necessarily all) of the skills and experience outlined below:

Essential:

  • Experience in a customer facing role, ideally at manager or supervisor level
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong teamwork skills and an ability to collaborate
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels
  • Ability to work flexibly with regular evening and weekend work
  • Ability to work well within a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to effectively respond to instructions, contribute ideas and support other team members
  • Confident, conscientious, enthusiastic and professional with a good sense of humour and a positive outlook
  • A welcoming and inclusive attitude, reflecting New Wolsey Theatre’s commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion
  • Good IT skills- particularly Microsoft Office
  • Good written and spoken English
