Ecological Consultancy Assistant 

Working on various ecological projects at various locations around the country.

Assisting on protected species surveys particularly bat dusk emergence surveys. No requirement
to write reports.

Training will be provided via a training plan including a mixture of on-job, taught, and guided
self learning.

This paid role would suit: those starting their career in ecology looking for full time work or students looking for adhoc and part time work, and anybody with a strong interest in wildlife
conservation or looking to begin a new career path.


  • Able to start before or by the 1st May 2024
  • Enthusiasm and passion for Ecology and the Environment
  • Wiling to travel and work away from home with overnight stays


  • You have a relevant qualification (other qualifications and backgrounds will be considered)
  • Live within 40 mins of Stone, Staffordshire
  • Experience undertaking previous ecology surveys; Phase one and Two; particularly Bats,
    Birds, Amphibians, Reptiles and Botany.
  • Natural England class license would be advantageous
  • Specialist knowledge within a particular field of ecology
  • Own car, driving licence and a confident driver.


  • Work from home, manage your own time
  • In house training and directly working with senior ecologist
  • All expenses paid, includes food (when staying away), mileage and overnight accommodation
  • Fast-track to becoming an established Ecologist, gaining licences and qualifications
  • Depending on location and duration with the company, you will be insured on company vehicles
