Advanced Technology Institute (ATI) in Virginia Beach, is seeking an Electrical Instructor to support new programs dedicated to this growing field.
As an Instructor, you will provide practical hands-on instruction while creating an engaging learning environment. Your daily reward will be the personal satisfaction of having a chance to make a difference to yourself, your team and to a group of students who expect an outstanding education and career.
- Preparation and delivery of an approved curriculum
- Regularly monitors student attendance and progress
- Maintains communication with all students at risk; working with students to address any issues that may impede training progress
- Promotes a positive environment with professional attitude and appearance
- 5 years minimum professional and practical experience working in the industry, or its equivalent
- Associates Degree in Electrical (or related) field preferred
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, bend and squat.
- Technical expertise in all of the subjects in which the instructor will be teaching.
- Knowledge and understanding of the professional career paths and demands of the field
- Motivation and enthusiasm for teaching and having a sensitivity to student needs and interests
