Job Description:Job DescriptionAre you a dynamic and skilled Electrical Project Manager with a passion for making a difference in the lives of people? As an Electrical Project Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to work on sites located in the Southeast leading construction projects to successful completion – safely, on time, and on budget.To excel in this role, you’ll need a strong construction background, an uncompromising commitment to safety and quality, and a focus on client engagement. You’ll work with the Project Director and/or Senior Project Manager as you guide our engineering, construction management, and superintendent teams to achieve project goals. You’ll maintain preconstruction, construction, and closeout execution plans; project scopes of work; budgets; and schedules. In coordination with accounting, you’ll manage vendor and subcontractor invoicing and client billing. We’ll rely on you to monitor project costs and field conditions, and ensure changes are fully reflected in cost reports.You’ll also monitor design content and coordinate design revisions for constructability and compliance. Collaboration is key, as you’ll coordinate the construction schedule with design, commissioning, and qualification schedule requirements. If project risks are identified, you’ll work to mitigate those in partnership with senior leadership.As a champion of our safety culture, you’ll be responsible for leading the established site safety program in your area and monitoring performance with CMs and Superintendents on site. You’ll regularly interact with the client, listening and ensuring that their needs are met with a focus on the IPS client experience. Qualifications & Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in project delivery or a related discipline (preferably in electrical and instrumentation).
  • Experience managing construction for multi-million-dollar projects.
  • OSHA 30 or ability to obtain and maintain.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or a related discipline.
  • Manufacturing / Industrial experience.
  • Experience in construction of pharmaceutical, bio-tech and/or life science facilities.
  • Piping and civil experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with teams and clients, team building, and strong work ethic.
  • Commutable to Cary, NC or Atlanta, GA or willing to travel to the project and work on site.

Safety

  • This position will have 25% travel, or as required by the assigned project.
  • You may be assigned to client site for an extended period of time.
  • Overnight travel or staying in the city of Client’s location is possible depending on assignment.
  • You will visit Client sites and will be required to adhere to stated safety rules.
  • This position is a safety sensitive position.
  • The employee is considered a field contractor supervisor and acts in a supervisory role for field work for IPS employees or subcontractors.
