The position includes teaching courses within traditional classroom, hybrid, HyFlex, and online instructional environments — with a focus on a strong pedagogical approach and quality student learning assessments. The position also includes participation in institutional development such as service and leadership on college committees, academic advising, and mentoring adjunct faculty within the discipline.

The selected candidate will also participate in scholarly engagement, professional development activities, and community service to both the BRCC campus and the local service region.

A teaching demonstration will be required as a part of the recruitment process.

Full-time faculty positions come with generous holiday time, along with very competitive health benefits coverage (including dental and vision), disability coverage, retirement with the Virginia Retirement System or Optional Retirement Plan for Higher Education, deferred compensation investment opportunities, educational assistance, access to the college’s Recreation Center, and more!
