Advertised Job SummaryTHE DEPARTMENT OF ENGLISH AT THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROILINA INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR MULTIPLE ONE-YEAR INSTRUCTOR POSITIONS. THE 4/4 TEACHING LOAD WILL CENTER ON CLASSES IN OUR FIRST-YEAR COMPOSITION PROGRAM (TEACHING ENGL 101 AND ENGLL 102). THIS IS A NINE-MONTH APPOINTMENT, BEGINNING AUGUST 16. 2023, AND ENDING MAY 15, 2024.

QualificationsCANDIDATES MUST HOLD A PHD IN ENGLISH OR A TEMINAL DEGREE IN FIELD, COMPLETED BY AUGUST 1, 2023, AND HAVE A MINIMUM OF TWO YEARS EXPERIENCE TEACHING ENGLISH AT THE COLLEGE LEVEL, WITH EVIDENCE OF EFFECTIVENESS AND INNOVATION. WE ESPECIALLY WELCOME APPLICATIONS FROM CANDIDATES QUALIFIED TO TEACH COURSES IN PROFESSIONAL AND/OR TECHINICAL WRITING.
