English Teacher Interest Position (English 6-12 certification)

Collier County Public Schools (Naples, Florida) is currently accepting applications for those who wish to express interest in future English Teacher vacancies for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. Open to ALL MAJORS – English degree preferred, but no education/teaching degree or experience required.

Instructional Teacher:

Starting Salary

• $57,000 annually (additional supplemental income may be available across various locations).
• Teachers, Counselors, and Speech Language Pathologists with advance degrees (in their area of certification) are also eligible for annual Degree Supplements as outlined below:
• Masters: $3,500
• Specialist: $4,000
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in SLP: $2,500
• Doctorate: $5,000

• QualificationsBachelor’s degree -> Pass FL Subject Area Exam (English 6-12) -> Obtain FL Teaching Certificate

OR

• Military Veterans Certification Pathway
• Minimum of 48 months of active-duty military service with an honorable/medical discharge on DD214.
• Minimum of 60 college credits with a 2.5 grade point average on an official transcript.
• Passing score on a Florida subject area examination for bachelor’s level subjects which demonstrates mastery of subject area knowledge.
• ResponsibilitiesFosters student achievement and development.
• Conduct the teaching assignment.
• Works within cooperation with the instructional team and/or department chair in the education process.
• Collaborates with colleagues and develops lessons for improving instruction and student performance.
• Communicates regularly with parents, administrators, and educational support.

All instructional staff must have current Florida Department of Education certification in the area in which they will be assigned to teach.
