This position with Alpine Adult Ed. Will teach English to non-English Speaking adult students. ESL , ELL or TESOL certification a plus – Strong English skills required.

This position will teach 2 Intermediate student classes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays. With the first class starting at 8:30 am and going to 11:00 am each of the 3 days. And a Second class going from 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm each of the same 3 days. This will equal 15 hours a week teaching, Plus the teacher will get 1 hour per day paid prep for each of the two class periods taught per day. 21 total hours paid per week. The teaching schedule will follow the Alpine District School calendar – days off for Alpine Schools will be off for our adult Ed. ESL teachers. 

Essential Functions

• Comfortable leading lessons in English for adult ESL students.
• Punctual and dependable for students who count on a dedicated teacher
• Ability to work with a team to develop best practices for ESL classes
• Ability to communicate in English in a clear and exemplary way to model correct English For Students.
• Encouraging and engaging personality to provide positive and supportive environment for learners. 

Requirements:

• age 18+
• High school diploma or equivalent. & some College English and ESL, ELL, TESOL cert. helpful.
