ESL Instructor (In person)

Responsibilities

• Teach well prepared ESL classes according to the syllabus and guidelines.

• Use the Communicative Approach employing methodologies such as guided discovery, task-based learning and the lexical approach, among others.

• Monitor students use of the Progress Tracker and ensure it is used to measure progress

• Assign homework, do marking and provide meaningful feedback to students.

• Administer tests and give tutorials.

• Participate in the social program.

• Are involved with the progression of the school by attending meetings and contributing to improvement by implementing new initiatives and providing.

Position Requirements

• Degree in Education, Linguistics, Pedagogy or equivalent required

• Minimum TESL 1 certificate and/or CELTA required

• Minimum of 2 years’ full-time teaching experience

• Effective communicator

• Professional appearance

• Positive and flexible attitude

• Proactive about own development and the job
