ESL Instructors needed immediately – OHLA Aventura Campus

We are currently welcoming applications and resumes for the position of ESL Teacher at our Open Hearts Language Academy – Aventura Campus.

Positions: ESL Morning & Evening Part-time Teacher.

Hours: MORNING: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Salary: Determined based on your qualifications listed on your resume ($23-$25).

Student population: Adults

Responsibilities and Duties

Prepare classes, teach ESL to adults, and complete paperwork pertaining to the position.

Qualifications and Skills

Candidates must hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in ESL/TESOL or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field along with current ESL/TESOL or TEFL certification.

Bachelor’s degrees in a related field include;

1. Linguistics

2. Applied Linguistics

3. Modern Languages

4. English / Literature

5. Education

Language requirement

All applicants should have native or native-like communication skills.

Experience teaching

For candidates who do not have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in ESL/TESOL, a minimum of 1 year of documented experience teaching ESL to an adult population is required.

Acceptable certification period

Hired candidates who have yet to obtain their TESOL/ TEFL/ESL certification will be required to receive their ESL/TESOL or TEFL certification from an accredited institution or program offering a minimum of 120 hours of course work within their first 90 days of employment.
