ESL programme Coordinator

MLI Programme Coordinator responsibilities are:

· Report to MLI designated staff during the programme

· Participate in planning meetings

· Design the curriculum and lesson plan

· Plan and run activities

· Hire ESL teachers

· Hire Canadian student assistants

· Arrange Welcome homestay matching and send off students on Departure Day

· Lead a full day excursion

· Participate in pre-arrival homestay zoom meeting

· Monitor student arrival / afternoon student departure

· Attend a social event such as evening gathering with visiting Japanese chaperones, if any

· Daily check on students’ well being

· Help on homestay concerns and work with Local Coordinator

· Help on emergency situation

Requirements are:

· Canadian certified Teaching Degree OR ESL Teaching Certificate (TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, etc.)

· Teaching experience with international students

· Ability to adapt and modify curriculum to suit the learning pace and ability of your students

Job Type: Contract

Compensation: $2,400 including vacation pay, less required government employee deduction (on MLI Payroll)
