ESL Teacher – University Preparation

EF International Language Center of New York is currently recruiting teachers for our specialized University Preparation Abroad Program. We are looking for teachers for the following areas:

TOEFL preparation, ACT/GRE/GMAT preparation, writing, and grammar.

If you answer yes to any of these questions, then you may be the perfect fit as a part-time teacher in the University Preparation Abroad Program at the EF International Language School of English, Tarrytown, New York.

The University Preparation Program works with both recent high-school and university graduates. The University Foundation Year is designed for high school graduates who wish to proceed to higher education in North America, but who lack the academic skills and language requirements to enter the first year of an undergraduate degree. The Pre-Master’s and Pre-MBA Programs are ideal for non-native English speakers who wish to pursue a postgraduate degree at a North American university. These programs provide students with all the linguistic and academic skills necessary for university study, including standardized testing preparation, such as the TOEFL, ACT, GRE, and GMAT.

Who are you?

Candidates should have relevant teaching or tutoring experience, preferably ACT, GRE, and GMAT, with special consideration given to candidates with CELTA, DELTA, TESOL, or EFL training or experience teaching English Language Learners.

We are looking for candidates available to start teaching for our busy Fall 2024 Term, starting Monday, 09/16/2024. Candidates should be available for training prior to the beginning of the term, starting in the beginning of September.

EF New York is a residential campus for international students, staying anywhere from 2 weeks up to 9 months and following a course in English language, Specialized English language in our Advanced Diploma course, or University Preparation courses for matriculation in an English-speaking university in North America.
