The Douglas C. Mackay Chair in Finance invites applications for 50% limited-term appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, starting August 1, 2025 (negotiable).

The ideal candidate will demonstrate potential for teaching excellence and a dedication to student success, while upholding values of equity, diversity, and inclusion in teaching. Responsibilities include teaching finance courses to both undergraduate and graduate students, enhancing research and student engagement, provide direct support to students for case competitions, and give short seminars to cover skills not typically addressed in the classroom.

Required qualifications, experience, and skills

– A PhD/DBA in a relevant field or equivalent professional accreditation;
– Established record of teaching excellence in relevant courses, and promise of teaching
excellence in the case of early career individuals or individuals outside of academia.
– Industry experience required.
– Professional designation (CFA, CPA, etc.) is desired

Preferable qualifications, experience, and skills

– A PhD or equivalent, or equivalent professional accreditation and professional experience of
atleast 5 years;
– Evidence of efforts to foster safer spaces for equity-deserving groups;
– Experience teaching larger introductory undergraduate courses;
– Experience with online teaching and pedagogical innovation.
