Our interior design team is a group of human-centric, design-thinking individuals. We strive to design inspirational and transformative spaces that make every day extraordinary. How you’ll make a difference:

  • Work with an integrated project team to develop design solutions that are unique to each of our projects
  • Prepare work plans and develop strategies to achieve work plan targets
  • Communicate and coordinate required design through engagement and programming, concept/schematic design phases, space planning development, and technical drawings and detailing from early conceptual stages through to final completion
  • Responsible for selection and specification of furniture, finishes, equipment, and accessories; preparation of FF+E documents
  • Contribute and prepare presentations for internal and external meetings; render conceptual design ideas and prepare 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings
  • Manage client expectations, team communication, and consultant coordination
  • Assist with establishing and maintaining project budgeting and scheduling
  • Coordinate and/or undertake the preparation of required project documents, minutes, schedules, and specifications
  • Participate in drawing reviews and quality assurance reviews
  • Responsible to apply building code and construction regulation knowledge and prepare project specific building code analysis
  • Build and maintain great client relationships with internal and external clients
  • Communicate and coordinate with an integrated team of internal and external project consultants, specialty consultants, contractors, and manufacturers/product representatives
  • Attend on-site visits and field reviews and direct contractors and vendors as required
  • Coordinate and undertake site deficiency reviews and installation reviews
  • Coach team members

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field
  • 5+ years of experience as an interior designer, with healthcare focused experience and strong knowledge, creativity, and experience of the design process
  • NCIDQ and Intern with the Alberta Association of Architects an asset
  • Proficient skills in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Rhino an asset
  • A comprehensive knowledge of building codes and construction regulations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, multitask, prioritize work, adapt quickly to changing work demands, complete tasks quickly and efficiently, meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, team oriented, accountable, and highly motivated
  • Proven, well-rounded experience in participating in client engagement processes from programming and conceptual design, design development, through to construction phases
  • Project management and contract administration experience is required
  • Experience working on conceptual and innovative healthcare projects
  • A design enthusiast, who can translate concepts into uniquely experiential and functional design solutions
  • A high achiever with a desire to grow and learn both personally and professionally
