Expert in LC-MS Analytics – Pharmaceutical Impurities (all genders)

Do you want to be part of a dedicated and international team in the field of pharmaceutical analytics? As an Expert in LC-MS Analytics – Pharmaceutical Impurities (all genders), you will work at the Wuppertal-Elberfeld site in the Pharmaceuticals Division in a specialized laboratory focused on the quantification of impurities using LC-MS. In a modern, digitalized environment, you will develop innovative methods for trace analysis and actively contribute to the quality control of pharmaceutical products.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• You independently develop and validate LC-MS methods for quantifying impurities in the ppb range in active ingredients and pharmaceutical formulations
• Developing and applying sample preparation techniques such as SPE and LLE is part of your responsibilities
• You execute analytical work and independently evaluate the results in a GMP-regulated environment
• You are responsible for organizing laboratory workflows, including disposal, safety aspects, and general lab organization
• Further development of an LC-MS-based laboratory with a focus on digitalization, automation and IT-supported processes is part of your role
• You ensure the functionality of the laboratory infrastructure
• You develop equipment SOPs and carry out functional checks and acceptance tests in the field of LC-MS
• You independently prepare validation documents and support the transfer to external laboratories

WHO YOU ARE

• You have completed training as a chemical laboratory technician (all genders) or a comparable qualification with professional experience and further education as a chemical technician or a bachelor’s degree
• You bring several years of professional experience in instrumental analytics, especially with (U)HPLC-MS/MS (Triple-Quad MS) and/or high resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) for structure elucidation and quantification, SFC knowledge is a plus
• You have solid knowledge in handling complex matrices and advanced sample preparation techniques for trace analysis
• You are proficient with LC-MS software and Microsoft Office
• Ideally, you have experience with Laboratory Information and Management Systems (LIMS)
• You work in a structured, careful, and independent manner and are characterized by teamwork and strong communication skills
• You demonstrate high commitment, reliability, and organizational skills
• Your fluent English skills (spoken and written) round off your profile; very good German skills are an advantage
