JOB VACANCY – EYFS TEACHING ASSISTANT

Teaching Assistant, Grade 2 30.42 hours per week (Monday to Friday) fixed term contract 

September 2024 – August 2025

£15,816 – £16,280

Penistone St John’s Primary School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring and flexible person to support and motivate children and to be part of our outstanding school. The post requires the successful candidates to support a range of children within our Primary School in EYFS.

The posts may require the successful candidates to support children (1 to 1) with SEN/physical disabilities as well as small group work. Extensive knowledge of the foundation stage curriculum. Experience of working in EYFS is essential.

Applicants must have:

• Extensive and recent experience of working in EYFS and knowledge of the foundation stage curriculum
• Relevant qualifications for the post e.g. GCSE (C or above) English and Maths
• The ability to assist the teacher with a range of learning activities and support pupils in their learning, as directed
• A good sense of humour, approachable, flexible and able to work as part of a committed team.
