Job Description Summary:
The ESOL Department (English for Speakers of Other Languages) at Austin Community College is designed to prepare non-native speakers for success in reaching their educational and professional goals. As a Faculty member, this role will be responsible to prepare and deliver coursework in engaging, innovative, and discipline-appropriate ways. This position will be to start in Fall 2025, and the majority of classes will be in the south region of ACC campuses. Courses will be taught both face-to-face and via distance learning formats.
Job Description:
ESOL classes were created for degree-seeking students and for professionals who have completed degree programs in their native countries. Students can also improve their English skills for greater success in their career fields. Our program is designed to develop academic-level proficiency and prospective students should have a basic understanding of English before enrolling in courses. We offer four levels of classes, in four different skills (reading, writing, grammar and oral communication) ranging from high-beginning to advanced levels.
