The Department of Surgery of the University of Maryland School of Medicine (UMSOM) is seeking applications for outstanding academic General Surgeons for the position of Chief of the Division of Oncologic Surgery, in the Department of Surgery, University of Maryland, School of Medicine. 

Candidates should be board certified in General Surgery and possess a strong track record of academic and clinical accomplishments, including the development of a strong clinical program, basic or clinical research experience and experience in educational programs for residents and fellows. Surgical oncology fellowship required.

The Department of Surgery is an academic department that consists of eight clinical divisions and one basic science division. The Department of Surgery is currently ranked ninth in the United States in NIH funding. NIH funded research is strongly encouraged. 

The School of Medicine is located in downtown Baltimore, Maryland, near the famous Inner Harbor and Camden Yards. The University of Maryland School of Medicine offers a full package of benefits and is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
