Here’s where you come in:

As the Finance Director, CDC Sierra Leone, you will report to the Sr. Project Director with a functional reporting line to the National Office’s Finance and Support Services Director. You will be the primary financial officer of the program. This role ensures that financial functions support the timely and effective implementation of the program’s technical scope of work and that resources are allocated and used in compliance with agreement requirements, applicable USG regulations, and appropriate standards and procedures. You will also oversee the timely issuance of sub-awards and contracts issued under the cooperative agreement and procurement of commercial goods and commercial services.

Requirements include:

  • Master’s degree in finance, business administration, accounting, or a related field, OR a bachelor’s or certified accounting degree with 10 years of experience.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in administrative and financial management of large (defined here as having an annual budget of $2M or more), complex development contracts or agreements serving low-income and middle-income countries (LMICs).
  • Demonstrated experience working in partnership with U.S. Government agencies is required.
  • A certificate and/or formal training in financial and award management of USG grants/agreements is preferred.
  • English required.
  • Travel within country required.
