History of the Company: Superior Ambulance Service started in 1959 with one ambulance and today is the largest independent, locally owned, and operated emergency medical services provider in the Midwest. Superior employs more than 3,500 licensed EMTs, Paramedics, and Nurses, operating a fleet of more than 800 ambulances throughout Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin. Superior also provides Critical Care, helicopter, and fixed wing emergency medical transportation.
Superior Ambulance Service is seeking to hire Critical Care Paramedics with proven leadership skills and years of experience to join the Illinois Critical Care Division as a Flight & Critical Care Paramedic. We are a progressive transport team affiliated with academic Adult and Pediatric Trauma, Stroke and Transplant Centers in the Chicagoland area. Our team provides high quality, safe, efficient care and transportation of ill and injured patients via our ground CCT ambulances, EC135 helicopters, and Lear 45 airplanes. Our flight program is CAMTS-accredited.
Location: DuPage County, Illinois
Hours: Full Time, 12-hour Days (7-on/7-off), Alternating ground critical care and flight shifts
Desired Qualifications
Initial & Ongoing Education: Flight & Critical Care personnel are expected to complete initial and recurrent training in critical care protocols, procedures, equipment, and flight operations including night vision goggles; perform peer QA and online education while on duty; participate in regular staff meetings and continuing education (paid); obtain and maintain all required certifications including board certification (sponsored).

USD $30.00 – USD $40.00 /Hr. rates offered based on years of experience and full time scheduled templates. Additional earnings via bi-weekly bonus up to $4.00 /HR.
