Freelance Online Screen Acting Coach

Knock & Nash Productions is seeking an experienced acting practitioner to deliver regular teaching across our established online screen acting programme.

The successful practitioner will be contracted to teach a minimum of 2 hours per week, with up to 4 hours available depending on the weekly timetable. Classes are delivered online via Zoom, usually in two-hour evening sessions.

Working with established groups of actors, you will deliver Knock & Nash schemes of work while bringing your own professional experience and expertise to the room.

Our training is practical, rigorous and focused on contemporary screen performance. Sessions explore scene work, self-taping, audition technique, text analysis and truthful performance for camera.

Responsibilities include delivering classes, coaching actors through practical exercises and scene work, providing clear and individualised feedback, managing class timings and creating a professional, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Lesson plans and schemes of work are provided, although we are looking for a practitioner who can respond confidently to the actors in the room and bring their own professional and teaching experience to the work.

There may also be opportunities for additional freelance teaching across our in-person programmes in Manchester, Newcastle and Edinburgh. These opportunities are additional to the contracted online hours and are not guaranteed.
