Front of House and Operations Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented Front of House Assistant to join our brand new team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for greeting patrons (predominantly children) and assisting them throughout the experience, this includes (but not limited to) ticketing, onboarding patrons, cloakroom management, escorting patrons through the venue on numerous occasions throughout the experience, and maintaining a clean and inviting space for everyone.

The Front of House Staff will also be responsible for credit card transactions, merchandise sales, interacting with patrons, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

This is a vital role within the structure of Gateshead’s newest Immersive Experience based on the popular TV show and will be a very exciting opportunity to be a part of.

Key Responsibilities

The role will be a mix of the responsibilities below on a rotating schedule that will mean everyone will be doing some of everything but not on every shift.

Ticketing:

• Check/scan tickets on entry into the venue.
• Be familiar with electronic ticketing systems and POS devices. (Training will be provided).
• Be the first engagement with patrons entering the venue.

Pulse Management:

• Patrons will be pulsed into the experience in certain numbers. We will need to limit and identify each pulse as they will be leaving the experience in the same pulses.
• Help patrons find their way through the experience and are where they need to be when they are needed to exit the space.
• Deal with any patron complaints.
