About the Employer Anacapa School is an independent, co-educational school serving grades 7 through 12. The Anacapa difference is our transformational curriculum rooted in experiential and project-based learning within a tight-knit community. Our 5:1 student-to-teacher ratio is the best of any secondary school in Santa Barbara County and best in class nationally. This low student-to- teacher ratio means connection is key to our being able to inspire joyful and engaged learners. Our motto – Be Brilliant, Chase Adventure, Transform Your World – encapsulates our philosophy of supporting the whole student, socially and emotionally as well as academically. Our experiential education model means our courses’ learning outcomes are not just essays and exams but hands-on projects that are interdisciplinary and collaborative in nature. Community engagement is another Anacapa pillar – our location in downtown Santa Barbara means we are uniquely positioned to partner with businesses, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies to allow students to navigate their “real world” community and build self- esteem and practical know-how. If you are interested in joining a small, supportive team of professional educators, Anacapa School could be the place for you.
