About the Job
This position is intermittent for Spring Term 2024 only. The position will be in place for the duration of Spring Term, 2025; 1/8/2025 – 5/25/2025.
Teaching Specialists provide classroom teaching for courses that supplement the faculty
offerings and/or expertise of the faculty. The teaching specialist also provides a source of
classroom substitute instruction. The title may be used for credit and non-credit courses,
workshops, seminars and conferences. It is not normally expected that persons in this
classification would be expected to fulfill the other missions of the University. Service to the
unit, college, or campus may be expected.
Responsibilities:
Develop and teach courses
Advise students with regard to academic concerns and school-related organizations
Qualifications
Masters Degree required.
The appointee is not required to have the same credentials expected of faculty, but must have demonstrated competence to teach the course material specific fo Fisheries, Wildlife and Conservation Biology curriculum. Professional and/or teaching experience related to assigned instructional responsibilities may be required.
Pay and Benefits
Pay Range: First time intermittent teaching specialists will be paid $3k per credit taught; returning intermittent teaching specialists will be paid $3,500 per credit taught ; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
