EDiT. is looking for reliable and target driven Gallery Assistants to join our growing team.

Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved in a quickly growing gallery, even if you don’t have experience in the arts. The successful applicant will be flexible – weekend and evening availability are a regular requirement.

You will have excellent customer service experience and confidence working independently. Starting as an assistant role, this job has room to grow as we do and therefore we are looking for ambitious individuals to join the team who will enjoy building lasting relationships that benefit the gallery.

HOURS: Flexibility is essential as weekend and occasional evening work will be required.

PLACES OF WORK: Neal St, Covent Garden WC2H 9DA and EDiT. 2 Greenwich Market, SE10.

PAY: £14 per hour plus commission

Job Requirements

The following qualities are a must:

Knowledge and interest in art – particularly urban contemporary.
Organised and a competent administrator.
Confident using power tools.
Strong attention to detail – both in the physical space and within your desk work.
Flexibility regarding hours, particularly during exhibition changes and events (you will be informed ahead of time).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Great communication skills and a professional, courteous demeanour.
