Position Overview:

Seeking a full-time General Surgeon to join a well-established and collegial surgical team in Evanston, Illinois. This opportunity offers a broad mix of elective general surgery, endoscopy, urgent cases, and trauma, in a supportive academic environment affiliated with the University of Illinois. The position includes the opportunity to teach surgery residents and medical students, as well as to participate in research if desired.

Current surgical team includes fellowship-trained specialists in minimally invasive surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, and surgical critical care. Residents provide 24/7 coverage, creating an ideal balance between hands-on surgical practice and academic engagement.

Position Highlights:

• Full-time, hospital-employed opportunity

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive annual compensation: $430,000 – $450,000 (base salary plus productivity incentives)

Qualifications:

• MD or DO degree
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
• Eligible for Illinois medical licensure
