Centre for Materials Analysis and Instrumentation, Suzhou Laboratory
Job Details
Suzhou Laboratory is dedicated to becoming a global leader in materials science research and fostering a diverse, innovative, and collaborative research environment.
Explore the Future of Characterization with Our Wonderful Team!
With the mission of supporting the laboratory’s key R&D initiatives and advancing materials science, the Centre for Materials Analysis and Instrumentation addresses the development needs of strategic materials. By focusing on full-lifecycle characterization and key technologies across atomic, micro-nano, and macro scales, we are committed to becoming a premier, integrated, and global one-stop platform in the field of materials characterization.
Based on the demand for advanced material characterization methods, a multi-source characterization system using probes including photons, neutrons, ions, and protons is established, aiming to form a set of tools for studying materials from atomic-level structures to functional properties and achieve in-situ, multi-source, and cross-scale characterization capabilities.
We are seeking talent in the following cutting-edge fields:
Advanced Characterization Methodology (imaging and diffraction, AI-driven data & image processing, spectroscopy, service performance evaluation, etc.).
Development of Characterization Instruments and Key Components (for X-ray, electron, optical, and spectroscopic applications).
Synchrotron Light Source
1.Design of linear accelerator, booster, and storage ring, as well as relevant technologies including radio frequency, vacuum, insertion devices, magnets, power supplies, microwaves, beam diagnostics, control, and databases, etc.
2.Design, construction, and operation of synchrotron beamlines.
3.Development of experimental techniques in X-ray diffraction, scattering, imaging, and spectroscopy, etc.
High-Brilliance Neutron Source
The scope of work encompasses the design, construction, and operation of the following systems:
1.Linear accelerator, as well as relevant technologies including ECR ion source, radio frequency cavity, magnets, power supplies, vacuum, collimation, beam measurement and control system, etc.
2.Neutron target station, including target, moderator, and reflector systems, as well as relevant technologies such as neutron physics, shielding, central container, target cooling and control systems, etc.
3.Neutron instruments, including experimental methods of small-angle neutron scattering, powder diffraction, neutron imaging, etc.
Medium and High Energy Ion Accelerator
1.ECR ion sources, radio frequency linear accelerators, ion synchrotrons, high-voltage accelerators, and related accelerator technologies.
2.Materials irradiation research, ion beam analysis, ion beam modification, focused ion beams, charged particle optics, instruments for ion-matter interactions, as well as plasma techniques, etc.
R&D on Extreme Materials
It aims to develop advanced fiber pilot lines, high-performance alloy production equipment, multiphysics coupling testing system—all integrated with synchrotron X-ray/neutron facilities.
R&D on Energy Materials
It aims to develop membrane verification line, space photovoltaic irradiation system, and in-situ devices for solid-state batteries and catalytic reactors—all integrated with synchrotron X-ray/neutron/ion facilities.
If you are a passionate and innovative scientist or researcher eager to make a transformative impact in materials science, we invite you to join us in shaping a ground-breaking future.
