Summary of Job Duties:

The Department of Systems Engineering at the UA Little Rock campus is seeking to hire a 9-month graduate teaching assistant. This position will support the teaching of courses/labs for the UA Little Rock BS in Mechanical Engineering program. Duties include grading for undergraduate courses, teaching support for laboratory courses, engineering, design, and fabrication support for program facilities development. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.

Qualifications:

Required Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher education;
• Regular admission to a UA Little Rock graduate degree program or good standing with the UA Little Rock Graduate School for continuing graduate students;
• Ability to work the required hours (FT-50% – 20 hours per week/PT-25% – 10 hours per week) with regular attendance.

Preferred Education and/or Experience:

• Admission to a UA Little Rock MSME graduate degree program.

Job Duties and/or Responsibilities:

• Grading for undergraduate courses;
• Teaching support for laboratory courses;
• Engineering, design, and fabrication support for program facilities development.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Computing Skills in Solidworks, Ansys, Ansys Fluent, Python.
