The Role:
As a handyperson, you will be maintaining the entire Roundhouse estate as part of a team. This comprises the Main Space venue – a Grade 2* listed building, a studio theatre, the Creative Studios, bars, a caf , a service yard, an office building and Roundhouse works.
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will be tasked with varied jobs across the estate. We are looking for someone who is able to do the following, but not be exclusive to.
- General repairs & maintenance
- Completing minor plumbing repairs, such as fixing dripping taps and running toilet cisterns
- Painting and decoration
- Cover during Roundhouse gigs and events, first point of contact for issues
- Manual handling of items across the site and supporting other teams where necessary
- Support in furniture setup where required
- Fitting shelves, whiteboards, tv’s, etc
- Undertaking basic gardening duties
- Undertaking PPM’s such as weekly fire tests, tap temperature testing, H&S checks, H&S admin and form filling, PAT test (Training will be given)
- Light bulb replacements
Job Requirements
You will have:
- Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, heating systems/ cooling systems & BMS
- Attention to detail, but also the ability to see the implications for the bigger picture

Please be aware that this role will have shift patterns covering 8 am – 09.30 pm (8 hours per day) and also weekends on rotation (on average, one out of three)
CONDITIONS
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 35 hours per week (Excluding breaks) (Weekend and evening work will be required according to business needs)
Salary: £33,990 per annum
